Couples Intensives

Is your relationship in need of an intense, concentrated effort to

start the repair process or to reconnect on a deeper level?

This is an opportunity to break free from the weekly session model
and to dive into the work in a more concentrated way.

Intensive sessions are a focused, structured therapeutic experience designed to help couples slow down, understand their patterns, repair disconnection, and leave with new skills on how to more effectively care for each other.  This intensive is best suited for couples who are functioning well in many external domains in their lives but feel hurt, disconnected, gridlocked, misaligned, or lonely in their most important relationship.

Couples often elect for intensive therapy after the disclosure of infidelity, a sustained pattern of conflict, or when they feel their relationship is in crisis.  Others choose intensive sessions to dive deeper into an exploration of what they want the next chapter of their relationship to look like.

During our work together, I will teach you both concepts and interventions from the therapeutic model called Gottman Method.  It is grounded in decades of empirical research involving thousands of couples through interviews, assessments, and direct observation of their interactions.  Together, we will identify the patterns that contribute to disconnection and use practical, research-informed tools to strengthen friendship, manage conflict more effectively, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection.  Therapy is collaborative and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on helping each partner feel heard, understood, and supported while developing healthier ways of relating.  The intensive experience provides couples with a safe space to open up and discuss topics at length in a new way.

One 6-Hour
Intensive

A great option for couples who want to learn how to better manage conflict, feel less disconnected, or to better understand the patterns that have been difficult to change despite their efforts.

This option may not be appropriate for couples currently navigating infidelity, trauma, or significant relational betrayal.

Two 6-Hour
Intensive Days

The two-day intensive is beneficial for couples experiencing relationship distress, recurring conflict, attachment injuries, life transitions, mental-health concerns affecting the relationship, or other issues that need more time and focus.

We will explore the multiple components of what makes a healthy relationship and how that reflects the current state of your relationship.  This includes conversations about trust and commitment, how well you know each other at this stage of the relationship, and how you manage conflict.

Three 6-Hour
Intensive Days

The three-day couples intensive is designed for couples facing more complex, longstanding, or deeply rooted relationship challenges that would benefit from additional time and focused support. This extended, three-day format allows us to slow down, explore the patterns and experiences that have contributed to disconnection, and work more intentionally toward repair, understanding, and change.

Together, we will address the areas of the relationship that need the most attention, strengthen communication and conflict-management skills, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward with greater clarity. The focus will be on the specific areas in your relationship that need attention to restore the connection, trust, and healing as a way to strengthen the foundation of your relationship.
